Coronavirus – COVID-19 Guidance for Visitors to GANF
All visitors to GANF must wear a face covering, unless medically exempt Social distancing must be adhered to at all times on both GANF school sites.
Visitors to School
We welcomed back people who provide therapies and other services to pupils from September as these are vital parts of the educational package we offer. Therapists/visitors will only work with 1 class bubble per visit unless social distancing is possible. For example – counselling can be conducted on a 1:1 basis with pupils from different bubbles as social distancing can be achieved.
We will keep contractors to ‘out of hours’ work where possible and when they do need to visit during the school day we will ensure that there is no contact with pupils and risks of contamination within the building are minimised through the use of PPE and cleaning.
All visitors to the school will have to be approved by a member of the Senior Leadership Team. On entry and exit of the building you will be asked to sanitize your hands.
All visitors will be required to complete a visitor’s log which will include Track and Trace details as per Government guidance.
What to do if you have Symptoms of COVID-19 after your visit
If you have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after your visit, please contact the school immediately:
– a high temperature (this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
– a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
– a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Most people with coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms.
