Head Boy & Head Girl at Ambergate 2021

As always, at the beginning of the new academic year, we started with the really big question… who is going to be Head boy and Head girl?

Mrs Jordan oversaw the project. She said, “I was immensely impressed with the quality of the personal statements that each candidate had prepared for the elections. They practised their speeches and this was apparent during their individual deliveries – they all demonstrated super confidence delivering their speeches to a large audience, so a very well done to them all”.

Each of the candidates putting themselves forward were asked to write a speech. A speech that they would read to the pupils in lower school and upper school assembly.

On the morning of the speech delivery the candidates were all very nervous but excited at the same time.

The pupils heard from the candidates one by one. There were laughs, serious moments and some very passionate speeches given. The pupils were then given the task of voting for their Head boy and Head girl using a voting slip with the candidate’s pictures on and then placing them in the ballot box.

Mr Caress and Mrs Plamenova verified and counted the votes and our winners were….

Head Boy Ignas Bukovskis and Head Girl Demi Rowley!
